Remix FX includes a set of buttons and XY pads which you can use to control various effects. The three central buttons are: Reverse, Scratch, and Tape Stop. The two vertical sliders are: Gater and Downsampler. The selectable effects for the XY pads include Filter, Wobble, Orbit, Repeater, Reverb, and Delay effects.
You can also control the XY pads with the motion sensors on your iPad using Gyro Control, and lock an effect using FX Lock, so it continues to sound after you lift your finger.
After you record a remix, you can edit the Remix FX region like other regions in Tracks view. If you cut or shorten the FX Remix region made with a locked effect, that effect shuts off at the end of the region, and starts again at the start of the next region when you play the remix.
Open the Remix FX controls
In the control bar, tap the FX button.
To close the Remix FX, tap the FX button again.
Turn on Gyro Control
Lock an effect
Tap the FX Lock button above one of the XY pads.

I'm having a horrible, terrible problem, & I'm hoping someone can help me successfully solve it!
OK, so yesterday on Memorial Day, I was doing some work on a few GarageBand files. I had about 40 or so files stored in a particular folder on my main iPad drive—full of musical compositions that I've worked incredibly hard on for months! They were all saved, opening up in GarageBand, & working just fine..up until I woke up this morning. When I opened up GarageBand at that time, I was utterly dismayed to discover that all of the 40 or so files I had worked so hard on had gone missing from the folder I had put them in..& in their place, were a bunch of older versions & scrap files that had been stored on my iCloud Drive—which hasn't been updated in a long time, ‘cause I can't afford to buy more storage right now!
The really confusing thing is, I didn't do anything to change those files, or my GarageBand settings, or my iPad drive folder where the songs were located, so they shouldn't have disappeared! But I can't find them anywhere on my iPad drive or other file locations, even though they should still be somewhere.. :-(

I really hope to God that there's a way for me to recover those 40+ GarageBand files somehow..because if I've lost them forever, with no way to get them back, I don't know if I'll be able to recreate them exactly the way they were before..& that would really break my heart!
